Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 is in news since the time Ekta Kapoor announced that she is all set to reboot an old epic saga! Speculations have been rife over the actors who would play the role of iconic characters of Anurag, Prerna and Komolika. Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi actress, Erica Fernandes, has been finalised to play the role of Prerna and she has even started shooting for the promo! Several names were floating around for the male lead, Anurag Basu's role and for the main antagonist, Komolika's role!

Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 is all set to premiere tomorrow. A day before its grand launch, producer Ekta Kapoor shared a new promo of the show on social media, which includes dialogues, reveals tidbits from the storyline and cast members.

Ekta posted the video and also shared her fear regarding channel going overboard with promotions. She wrote, 'Launching big..On TV .too much promotion..! Never usually pans out..leads to over expectations! But with grit n hard work of a whole team n without expecting n predicting the outcome we hope ppl accept #kasautiizindagiikay.' (sic)

The promo starts with the main leads, Prerna (Erica Fernandes) and Anurag (Parth Samthaan) and how they are two opposites, as one is never on time while the other is punctual. Their fathers who are best friends, want their kids to get married while Anurag's mother has other plans.

During the end of one minute promo, viewers get a glimpse of Komolika's sexy back. Similar to the original Komolika (played by Urvashi Dholakia) this one's a Nikka queen and also loves playing with her hair. According to reports, Hina Khan is playing Komolika in the reboot version.

A couple of weeks back, Ekta had teased her fans with Komolika's cholis designs. She posted some pictures on her Insta story, which showed itsy-bitsy colourful cholis. Looks like, Komolika's backless cholis will soon start a trend of its own once the show goes on air.

In the promo, the sets look grand and actors well-suited to the roles. However, Ekta is right when she says too much of promotion leads to over-expectation, which can prove hazardous for a show. Let's hope Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 passes the kasauti (test).
